  • October 30: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that the Taliban are intentionally concealing the combat deaths of their soldiers, asking families to lie about the causes of death and for funerals to be conducted at night. The post claimed that the Taliban are afraid of appearing unpopular and weak, both to the Afghan people as well as to the U.S.

Text: “Translated from Pashto. Taliban casualties are on the rise. The Taliban’s losses are increasing, and they are hiding their losses. Khati [sic] also asks the families of the Taliban dead to hold funerals at night and tell people that they were killed in a traffic accident or other similar incidents. In addition to Kabul, the Taliban’s losses in the provinces have increased in battles, bombings, and guerrilla attacks. Last week, the Taliban clashed with ISIS in Ghor province, [who] killed several Taliban members, including the commander of the Fateh Force’s operational team [a special forces unit]. Last Friday, two Taliban members were killed in an attack by militants in the Lal Pur district of Nangarhar province, and the mourning ceremony was held late at night. October 30, [20]24”

“The Taliban militia hides its losses for several reasons, including:

“First, fearing that its weakness will appear before its supporters and its approach will be exposed, and why it is suffering all these losses.

“Second, it is afraid of appearing weak before the United States of America, which sends it $40 million every week to fight the terrorists, and its inability and weakness will be revealed, so it resorts to this failed trick that has previously proven its failure in Iraq, where the Shiite settlers used it.

“And other things besides it [sic].”

“Kabul: The office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said that 28 Afghan civilians were killed during ISIS attacks between July and September of the year, in which more than 50 civilians were injured. The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan published its quarterly report on the situation in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban on Thursday. Based on the report, the ISIS-Khorasan branch targeted Shiites in these attacks. According to the statement, one person was killed and 13 others were injured, all of them Hazaras, in an ISIS attack on a passenger bus in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul last August.”

Fact:

On October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded southern Israel where, in the space of eight hours, hundreds of armed terrorists perpetrated mass crimes of brutality, rape, and torture against men, women and children. In the biggest attack on Jewish life in a single day since the Holocaust, 1,200 were killed, and 251 were taken hostage into Gaza—where 101 remain. One year on, antisemitic incidents have increased by record numbers.
