Hamas statement, November 30, 2023

Date

Body

“Worldwide call to mobilize in support of Gaza this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

“As the Zionist aggression and genocidal war continues against our people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, and amid systematic violations perpetrated against our prisoners in Israeli jails, we call on the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation and free people across the world to continue their rallies in solidarity with our Palestinian people and our just cause. We call on them to mobilize all their popular means to reject and denounce the crimes and massacres committed by the Nazi occupation, to call for an end to its barbaric aggression and decades-long occupation.

“We call on the free masses and those who bear a living conscience, who responded to the call of Gaza, Jerusalem, and the rest of Palestine, to continue their marches in all cities, capitals, and squares of the world on the coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to make their voice heard. We urge them to be emboldened by the strength of Palestinian rights and the justice and legitimacy of our struggle. We also appeal to them to maintain all forms of solidarity and support, until the aggression and heinous massacres against our children and defenseless civilians stop.”Hamas Press Statement, Hamas Online Telegram channel, November 30, 2023.

Fact:

On October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded southern Israel where, in the space of eight hours, hundreds of armed terrorists perpetrated mass crimes of brutality, rape, and torture against men, women and children. In the biggest attack on Jewish life in a single day since the Holocaust, 1,200 were killed, and 251 were taken hostage into Gaza—where 101 remain. One year on, antisemitic incidents have increased by record numbers.
