Despite losing its last territorial stronghold in Syria in 2017, ISIS continues to wage a deadly insurgency in the central Syrian desert, known as the Badia. CEP monitors ISIS’s ongoing activities, using reporting from Syrian regime forces on platforms like Facebook, as well as reports from local communities and journalists.
