On September 1, 2020, Boko Haram fighters raided a village housing approximately 18,000 internally displaced people in northern Cameroon, near the Nigerian border. During the attack, a suicide bomber killed seven civilians and injured 14 others.

On August 26, 2021, an ISIS-K suicide bomber detonated outside Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. The attack, which occurred amid the withdrawal of U.S. forces and a mass evacuation, killed 183 people and wounded 200.

On August 24, 2020, two explosions targeted Philippine security forces in Jolo, Sulu, killing 14 people and injuring at least 75 others. The perpetrators were believed to be female and widows of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) militants. Authorities blamed ASG, though ISIS issued a statement claiming responsibility.
