COUNTER EXTREMISM PROJECT CONDEMNS VIOLENCE IN SYDNEY

The following is a statement from the Counter Extremism Project:

“The Counter Extremism Project strongly condemns the violent attack that occurred in Sydney, Australia.  While we wait for more details from law enforcement officials, we must continue to focus on combatting the use of social media by propagandists who hijack the platforms and incite violent, lone-wolf attacks such as the one in Sydney.  Already we have seen a flurry of activity by radical jihadists using online platforms to exploit this attack for their own despicable ends.  The community that unites the users of the Internet must not stand for the continuing activities of these extremist propagandists.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this senseless attack.”

Extremists: Their Words. Their Actions.

Fact:

On October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded southern Israel where, in the space of eight hours, hundreds of armed terrorists perpetrated mass crimes of brutality, rape, and torture against men, women and children. In the biggest attack on Jewish life in a single day since the Holocaust, 1,200 were killed, and 251 were taken hostage into Gaza—where 101 remain. One year on, antisemitic incidents have increased by record numbers.
