Event to Feature Senator Ron Johnson, Fran Townsend, Dr. Hany Farid, Peter Bergen, and Greta Van Susteren​

(New York, NY) – The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) is livestreaming today’s policy event on the challenges posed by online extremism. Those who are unable to attend this event can follow the discussion live, beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.

The event, Rights and Responsibilities of Social Media Platforms in an Age of Global Extremism will include a keynote speech from Senator Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and a panel discussion moderated by journalist Greta Van Susteren, featuring Fran Townsend, former U.S. Homeland Security Advisor; Dr. Hany Farid, Dartmouth College professor and the world’s leading authority on digital forensics; and national security expert and Vice President of New America Peter Bergen.
