On August 4, 2020, CEP Senior Director Dr. Hans-Jakob Schindler spoke on BBC Newshour about the complicated task of repatriating children of ISIS members, some of whose parents are dead and others whose mothers are considered a security risk. 

According to Dr. Schindler, there are just about over 1,000 children and several thousand women in camps, such as al-Hawl in Syria.
