On November 12, 2018, two suicide bombers detonated vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices near U.N.-owned villas in Gao, Mali. Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed three people and injured 30 others. 

Between November 9 and November 15, 2018, at least 242 Afghan soldiers were killed in militant attacks, according to Afghan casualty reports. In one attack on November 11, Taliban militants killed an entire company of 50 elite commandos in Ghazni province.  

On November 10, 2019, a roadside bomb detonated next to a Special Forces vehicle near Kirkuk, Iraq, injuring five Italian soldiers. The Special Forces team was part of an international training mission to assist Iraqi troops fighting ISIS. The IED was believed to be planted by ISIS.   

On November 6, 2020, al-Shabaab detonated a car bomb that killed an officer of the C.I.A. and four Somali intelligence officers in Gendershe, a coastal village 30 miles southwest of Mogadishu. 

On November 2, 2020, gunmen stormed Kabul University and a five-hour clash with Afghan security forces ensued. ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the attack, which left at least 22 people dead and 22 others injured. 

On November 2, 2019, YPG militants detonated a bomb-laden vehicle and attacked a market in Tal Abyad, Syria. At least 13 civilians were killed and another 20 were wounded.
