On November 1, 2019, ISIS militants attacked a Malian army post in Indelimane in the northern Ménaka Region, near the border with Niger. At least 54 people were killed and another 10 were injured. The French military said one of its soldiers died in the attack after his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device.

On October 29, 2020, armed with a knife and shouting “Allahu Akbar,” Tunisian immigrant Ibrahim Issaoui stabbed and killed three people at Notre Dame Basilica in Nice, France.

On October 28, 2019, a car bomb detonated in Suluk, Syria, killing one civilian and wounding seven others. That same day, a mine exploded in Cobaney, leaving one person dead and three others injured. Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) claimed responsibility for both attacks.
